Monday Morning Sentimonies: Draft Day Approacheth

We are now only 2 weeks away from the 2013 CFL Draft. I haven’t been this excited since I got that phone call syaing I'd won a cruise that I didn't even enter a contest for. I will be continuing my ongoing coverage of the CFL Draft with the final 3 Team Previews this week (next up is Saskatchewan which I will be posting shortly).  Next week I will be unveiling my Mock Draft as well as some thoughts on the Riders’ likely targets, fallouts from the NFL Draft which goes this weekend and how I see the draft going down.

Today, it’s time to launch the Second Annual Rider Prophet Draft Contest. Your chance to weigh in on the draft and win prizes... and not just the metaphorical and imaginary ones I normally give out here. Actual tangible prizes!

Here’s how it works:

-       I will give you a list of 10 high profile draft prospects.

-       You guess which team will draft each prospect and send your submission to me either by leaving a comment, sending me an email to riderprophet at hotmail or if you really want to challenge yourself I suppose you could attempt to tweet me your picks @RiderProphet

-       Some clarifications based on last year: submissions will not be accepted by Morse code, male strip-a-gram, or yelling from your balcony. Submissions by pigeon, female strip-a-gram and sky-writing will be accepted (and encouraged)

-       Whoever gets the most correct wins the prize (which I am getting to)

-       There will be a bonus tie breaker question in the event of a tie (go figure, not sure what other purpose a tie breaker question would serve)

Prize is: Winners choice of a Tim Hortons Gift Card, 2 free drinks courtesy of the Prophet at a home game this season or a free Rider Prophet Shirt (a new one, not just one from my dresser).

Reminder that Ottawa will be selecting in this draft so they are a valid option for your guess. For those of you who don’t religiously follow the ins and outs of the CFL Draft, of the above list Ottawa can draft only Lokombo, McMillan and Urban.
